Update From Cycling New Zealand and High Performance Sport New Zealand On HPSNZ-Cycling New Zealand Independent Inquiry

Cycling New Zealand and High Performance Sport New Zealand are making good progress as we continue our work to confirm the details of the HPSNZ-Cycling New Zealand Independent Inquiry following the death of Olivia Podmore.

Discussions are on-going between our two organisations and the potential experts who might lead and be involved in the Inquiry, including careful consideration of the skills and expertise required.

The draft Terms of Reference (ToR) have been prepared and Cycling New Zealand and High Performance Sport New Zealand will now actively seek feedback from key stakeholder groups, including athletes and coaches, about the proposed engagement process for the Inquiry.

We understand it is crucial to take an open approach to the development of the ToR, to ensure those central to the Inquiry have the opportunity to provide feedback and ultimately feel confident to engage in the Inquiry process.

Cycling New Zealand and High Performance Sport New Zealand will be in a position to announce further details once the athlete and coach feedback sessions have taken place.  There will be no further comment made until that time.
